GENERAL INFORMATION
Title: SY 24-25 Custodian (Part-Time) Department: Laurel Regional Program Salary Grade: Schedule A
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Site/Location: Laurel Regional Program Reports to: Building Administrator Date: 4/26/2024
POSITION SUMMARY
  • Maintain clean, safe, sanitary schools including, but not limited to disinfecting and light maintenance of assigned school spaces. Performs the general cleaning of all classrooms, office spaces and libraries as directed. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Sweeps, mops (dust/wet), dusts, and disinfects areas regularly as needed.
  • Cleans classrooms, offices, libraries as assigned.
  • Picks up paper and other debris, empties and cleans trash receptacles in assigned areas.
  • Vacuums and operates other assigned equipment as assigned.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred.
  • Previous cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Understands and carries out out both written and oral instructions.
  • Reads or recognizes cleaning chemical labels.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling.
  • Designated as Essential Personnel - Employees must report to assigned job site during emergency situations including weather and building emergencies.
