- Provide continuity in the classroom instructional program in support of the school division's essential comprehensive educational program by carrying out the daily routine and instructional objectives of the professional classified staff in their absence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS |
- Works with individual or small groups of students to reinforce learning objectives and standards.
- Supports students in learning classroom/school routines and procedures.
- Provides supervision and a safe environment for students during structured and unstructured times such as lunch, recess, transitions, loading/unloading of buses, and any other assigned duties
- Assists with the development of students’ social/emotional skills.
- Assists with small group learning activities.
- Demonstrate fair and ethical judgements.
- Display problem-solving, cooperative negotiating skills, and conflict resolution strategies.
- Provides instructional support during learning.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Maintains a positive, professional, solution-focused demeanor at all times.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE |
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited post-secondary institution or career technical facility; or an Associate’s Degree; or completed the ParaPro assessment.
- Some experience in working with children.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES |
- This position requires periods of standing; some walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
