POSITION SUMMARY |
- Safely operate an assigned school bus for transporting students from home to school and/or to and from school-related events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS |
- Cooperates with school officials in providing safe and efficient transportation for students.
- Maintains an assigned schedule on a specific route and consults with the supervisor or dispatcher regarding suggested changes.
- Maintains acceptable standards of conduct and dress.
- Maintains courteous, professional and effective working relationships with parents, students, school staff, school officials and all levels of employees.
- Works the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks.
- Performs related duties as necessary and as assigned by the supervisor for transportation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE |
- Candidate must be eighteen (18) years of age, minimum.
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES |
- Candidate must possess a valid and active Virginia Driver's License.
|
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY |

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS |
- Minimal travel within the City of Lynchburg.
